Issue description
Problems:
  • Cannot remove bindings without assigning a new key. The Esc key should be used for that is it should be hardcoded to exit to the menu.
Feature request 408 - Allow to remove key assignments from actions
  • Assigning a key does not remove other assignments for the key. This could possibly be a desired feature but most of the time is annoying.
  • Cannot assign key to the first slot for an action that has only the second slot set.

Original report: remapping keys not working correctly. the mapped key would stay on another function not being released from the old function. or some would not like to remap at all.
Steps to reproduce this issue
the mapped key would stay on another function not being released from the old function.

( assuming this is related to http://steamcommunity.com/app/1700/discussions/0/618453594765627556/ )

I can reproduce the problem with you config - thanks. Just to be sure - you want to re-assing LeftControl from Crouch toggle to Magic mode, not assign it to both?

Possible workarounds until this is fixed:
  • Reset key bindings to default using the "Default" button at the bottom of the key bindings panel.
  • Manually edit cfg.ini and remove the "crouch_toggle_k1="LeftControl"" line - after that you should be able to assign the LeftControl key to the slot where RightControl is now assigned (not the empty one).

Thanks for your report.

It's in you user directory under Saved Games\Arx Libertatis (for Windows Vista and newer) or My Documents\My Games\Arx Libertatis (for Windows XP). Under Linux it's stored at ~/.config/arx/cfg.ini

1.21 updates the UI when assigning the key bound to slot 1 to slot 2 (removing it from slot 1) while AL does the same behind the scenes but doesn't update the UI.
