Additional information from Crash report 965 - Game crashing while fighting Akbaa, final boss:

I encountered this issue with two versions. 1.2 (09/23/2016) 1.2 (12/19/2016) I thought using latest version might help, but it did not. After all of the cutscenes, when You finally got to fight Akbaa, game crashes in few seconds. But of course there is a catch. It's not 100% "success". But I think You have to be close to Akbaa to have the game crashed. Maybe it is totally random, but when I tried to cover behind pillar from start, crash did not occur.

1. Get to the final fight
2. As soon as You can, get close to Akbaa optional
3. cast life drain (Vitae Movis) (2 out of 3 times this hapend with this spell, but there were more crashes without it)
4. Keep attacking Akbaa
5. In few seconds You should have crash. If you don't, try few times.
